Competition Day - January 24, 2009 |
Official teams consists of three seventh and/or eigth grade students, one teacher, and one volunteer engineer.
Additional teachers, engineers, and alternate team members may attend the competition, but may not take part in any formal presentation of their city. Only the three students listed on the Essay form will be allowed to present the city and answer questions about the city.
Parents and family members are also allowed, and encouraged, to attend the competition to provide encouragement. They are allowed to sit in on their student's presentations (when space is available in the judging room), but are not allowed to speak or aid the team in any way during judging sessions.
Dress code for the Colorado Regional is casual attire, that is appropriate for your everyday studies at your school. ANY attire used to enhance the appearance of the team's presentation MUST be included on the team's model expense form.
Lunch will be provided. Details will follow in final competition packet prior to the competition.
All travel arrangements must be arranged by the individual schools. The recommended hotel for the competition is the Double Tree Hotel - Denver, located at 3203 Quebec Street, Denver, CO 80207. Their rates are resonable and if we get enough room inquires, the regional competition will pursue a group rate at this hotel.
